moving

Tomorrow we are leaving our lovely sunny oceanfront apartment fora bigger place.
We are going to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 3rd floor apartment on the riverfront. Not as nice but just as close to surfers shops and only a few minutes from the ocean. It even has a washing machine and drier, and electricity included in the rent :)
We have our Kerikeri friend Lindsay staying a few days from Wednsday (watch out shops!!) and then in less than 2 weeks reubs will be over for a visit and also Jacques will come and saty a few days while Reubs is here. Hence we need a 2 bed apartment :)
The weather here has been drizzly and sunny for the last few days. But its so nice that even when it rains we can just wander down the road to the mall or the cafes, or jump in the car to another shopping centre. The place is always alive. Its hard to tell which day of the week it is because its always full of people in the shops and on the beach any time of day or night. I love it!
We have a pool and a spa in this complex and yesterday after a walk along the beach we came back and used both before heading off to a street party to celebrate the Gold Coasts 45th birthday. After dropping the car back here we wandered down to a bar/cafe and enjoyed a late lunch and cold beer while watching the people go by and the surf crashing in.
This morning Johan is waiting for a resonable time ( we are still up and ready so early) to call the contacts he made re work last week.

This was sunrise this morning ( from our bed) and our messy lounge, you can see the trees out the window - those are the same ones that feature in all the beachy shots, so you can see how close we are.
