We are busy looking for a house to buy.
We figure - why pay someone rent when we could buy a little place and pay a mortgage at much the same cost. So the hunt is on.
The plan is that we buy a 'cheap' house and live in it now and then when we finally sell our Kerikeri house we will buy a proper house to live and and rent out our cheapy. That's the plan....
We did see a neat one last week, a real do up with heaps of opportunity to make some money on it, but someone put an offer in at the same time and we didn't have our bank manager sorted (they LOST our application!) so we missed out on that.
We saw a yummy one yesterday, small but perfectly formed, which we are going back to this morning for a second look. (it's a public holiday today, we aren't skipping work ;) )
