Wow it has been ages since I posted anything. Is anyone still out there checking our blogs??
We are busy with life as usual. We had a lovely time away in Austraila just the 2 of us. The weather is so great there it is certainly tempting to jump the ditch and move over there. It's always an option in the back of our minds. What we did decide while we were over there is that we defintely want to sell our house and make a move, even if it's just to a new house in the Kerikeri. So we came home and scrubbed up the house a bit, put lots of excess stuff on 'Trade Me' including the house! When we got home we also found that the issues we were having with our German student were still in full swing which meant she needed to return home to the care of her family in Germany. A very difficult time for us all and she was not happy to go, not recognising the seriousness of her situation. Anyway for now we just have the lovely Bew from Thailand, who is here for the whole year. We are due to get another Italian student arriving in July, which will be nice company for Bew.
Johan and I take Reuben to Auckland airport on Saturday and he flys off to Italy to meet up with Valeria. Thye will do some travelling together around Italy and Belgium and hopefully get to make contact with some family in Holland. If anyone reads this that knows Simone (Johan's cousin), we are trying to get contact details for her to see if he can call in there. It is going to be very strange around here without him and all the work he does around the house, but awesome for him! Odi, his cat is going to be very sad too.
Well that's a quick catch up of life here.
We are getting more excitied about our trip to South Africa for the big 50th wedding anniversary.
